Financial Aid Policy & Guide
Overview:
Mt Rainier FC is dedicated to providing players of all economic backgrounds with the opportunity to play soccer. Mt Rainier FC will use the information provided for financial aid assistance only. Your information will not be shared with any parties outside of Mt Rainier FC. Mt Rainier FC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Any financial aid awarded is at the sole discretion of Mt Rainier FC and its Board of Directors.
How To Apply:
Elite Academy/ DPL / Premier Financial Aid Process.
Financial aid requests will be submitted in PlayMetrics.You must request financial aid after you have been offered placement on an EA, DPL or Premier team and completed program registration. During program registration, financial aid applicants must choose the payment plan option and pay the acceptance fee:
To access the financial aid form via playmetrics:
From a computer:

- Click on Club Programs on the left side menu
- Up at the top click on Financial Aid
- In the upper right-hand corner is a Blue box for Request Financial Aid, click on it and fill out the request
From a phone:

- Down at the bottom click on Programs
- Choose the Programs drop down and click on Financial Aid
- In the upper right corner is a blue box with a + sign, click on it
- Choose your player and then scroll down to fill out the request
Note: Financial Aid does not include or cover the costs of uniform kits, player team fees, or additional travel fees and are still the responsibility of the player. Additionally, financial aid recipients must complete all required volunteer hours.
Information Required:
Players must meet the financial aid criteria established by the club and have the supporting documents ready to upload such as (IRS 1040 tax filings, free/reduced lunch and/or child support)

Notification of Award:
Financial Aid is awarded on a need basis only and is for the current season only. Applicants receiving financial aid must apply each soccer year. The MRFC executive board will decide if awards will be granted, and the amount awarded based on need and the number of requests received.
All applications will be reviewed by the MRFC Executive Board and notification of award will be made via playmetrics (via email) prior to the first scheduled monthly payment. If you qualify for full or partial financial aid, you will receive an email informing you of the award amount. The award amount will be deducted from your monthly payments.
Application Period:

- Financial aid requests for High School Boys who tried out in February and who have been offered a position on a team must be submitted by 11:59 PM on March 20.
- Financial aid requests for all other teams who tried out in April/May who have been offered a position on a team must be submitted by 11:59 PM on June 10th .
- Requests received after the deadline will not be considered.
