About the Program

Rainier Highlander Rugby Club, located in South King and Pierce County, Washington, focuses on teaching youth rugby to boys and girls of various age groups. The club emphasizes developing rugby skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a safe and inclusive environment. It provides a structured framework for recreational and competitive play, aiming to make rugby accessible to athletes across the area.

Gameday

The rugby season generally runs from January to late April or early May, with games scheduled throughout spring. Matches take place on weekends, and players are expected to attend both practices and game days to build team cohesion and improve skills.

Registration: Open to boys and girls, ages 8 to 18 (age on September 1, 2024)
Equipment: Mouthguard, cleats (football or soccer cleats work), team kit (shorts/socks), optional protective gear
Provided Gear: The club supplies match jerseys for 12U and older.
