About the Program
Rainier Junior Rugby Club, located in South King and Pierce County, Washington, focuses on teaching youth rugby to boys and girls of various age groups. The club emphasizes developing rugby skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a safe and inclusive environment. It provides a structured framework for both recreational and competitive play, aiming to make rugby accessible to athletes across the area.
Program Details
The club offers the following team divisions by age and gender:
Co-Ed Teams
U10: 3rd and 4th grade
U12: 5th and 6th grade
Boys Teams
U14: 7th and 8th grade
U16: 9th and 10th grade
U18: 11th and 12th grade
Girls Teams
U14: 7th and 8th grade
U16: 9th and 10th grade
U18: 11th and 12th grade
Gameday
The rugby season generally runs from January to late April or early May, with games scheduled throughout spring. Matches take place on weekends, and players are expected to attend both practices and game days to build team cohesion and improve skills.
