Mt Rainier FC holds youth tryouts three times per year. Tryouts are free for all to attend. Registration is required prior to a player taking the field.
For those interested in continuing their soccer career after aging out of our Premier program, Adult Competitive tryouts are in March.

It is highly recommended that players attend both sessions for their age group. If a player is unable to do so, please notify a staff member and/or evaluator at check-in.
Boys High School Tryouts are held mid-February and our tryouts for all other teams are at the beginning of May. Supplemental Tryouts are in December before the Spring Season begins. For specific dates please check back on our website.
Our Club uses PlayMetrics for all its registration needs. On our website we will have a link to click that will take you right where you need to be. If you’re new to MRFC you’ll need to create a PlayMetrics account to get registered.

*MRFC does offer payment programs for all player dues and Financial Aid is available on a need basis only.
MRFC will notify you within 48 hours after the last tryout for your age group has completed.
MRFC requires players to accept or decline their offer within 24 hours of receiving their offer.

All players will be evaluated based on the MRFC Pillars of Individual Development (Game, Ball, Body, Mind and the 5th Pillar) which encompass the players ability to outplay their opponent, eagerness to learn and love for the game. MRFC Staff is committed to a continuous development pathway, therefore returning players MRFC are more familiar with that individual players development journey and will consider not just the tryout dates.
We ask that players not wear club branded apparel. Bring a water bottle and weather appropriate gear; wear shin guards and cleats.
Yes. All players who would like to be considered on a premier team need to attend a tryout.
Yes! After registering the first player, each additional sibling will receive a $100 discount when registering at the same time. We understand some tryouts are earlier than others so please reach out to us if you’re having to wait to register to receive a discount.
